Jetzt bin ich nach Kashgar gefahren – die Westlichste Stadt von China, ca. 340.000 Einwohner. Die Fahrt dahin war interessant: Nach einer der üblichen Polizeikontrollen fahre ich weiter. Ein paar Minuten später kommt mir ein Polizeiauto entgegen, dreht hinter mir um und stoppt mich. Nach ein paar Verständigungsschwierigkeiten wusste ich, dass ich deren Auto folgen sollte, aber nicht warum. Ich war die ganze Zeit am Grübeln was wohl sein könnte. Nach 15 Minuten oder so stopp, danach sollte ich anderen Polizisten hinterherfahren. Die sind dann mit mir auf der Landstraße wo 60 oder 80 erlaubt ist mit mir für 45 Minuten mit 130 langgetobt… Hat Spaß gemacht 😀 Bei der nächsten Polizeistation sollte ich dann einfach weiterfahren… Es sollte wohl sichergestellt werden, dass ich an der Stelle nicht vom Pfad abweiche….
Am Abend habe ich die Stadt erkundet.

Now I drove to Kashgar – the westernmost city in China with about 340,000 inhabitants. The trip was interesting: After one of the usual police checkpoints I just drove on. After a few minutes I saw a police car on the opposite lane. It turned around after me and stopped me. After some gesturing I understood that I should follow their car – but I didn’t know why. I was thinking all the time what I might have done wrong. After 15 minutes or so the car stopped, afterwards I was to follow another police car. We were driving on the country road where 60 or 80 km/h are allowed. For about 45 minutes we were speeding on this road with 130… That was fun 😀 At the next police checkpoint I was just told to continue driving…. It seems it was made sure that I say on the path…
In the evening I explored the city.
