Nach Wuhan bin ich weiter nach ShiYan (ca. 770.000 Einwohner in der Stadt, 3,3 Millionen in der Region) gefahren. Es ist eine schöne Stadt mit viel grün.
After Wuhan I continued my journey to ShiYan (about 770,000 inhabitants, 3.3 million in the county). It is a very nice city with lots of green.

In ShiYan bin ich dann in den Volkspark gegangen. Dort gibt es eine schöne Pagode und auch eine „große Stadtmauer“. Die soll alt sein, ist aber alles ganz neu… In der Zentrum gibt es einen kleinen Vergnügungspark…
In ShiYan I went to the people’s park. There is a nice tower there and a „great wall“. It is supposed to be ancient, but everything was quite new… In the center is a small entertainment park.

Nach dem Park bin ich in den Pizza Hut essen gegangen. Ich musste auf einen Platz warten, da hat mich ein nettes Pärchen zu sich an den Tisch eingeladen. Ich spreche (fast) kein Chinesisch und die beiden auch kein Englisch – aber es gibt ja Technologie! Google Übersetzer und Wechat funktionieren beide super…
After the visit to the park I went to eat at Pizza Hut (Chinese Pizza Hut is much more classy than in the US – it is „fancy Western food“!). I had to wait for a place, so a nice couple invited me to their table. I speak (almost) no Chinese, they didn’t speak English. But there is cool technology! Google translate and Wechat work very good.
