Heute bin ich weiter nach Tianshui gefahren. Ich habe nicht in Xi’an gestoppt, weil ich dort schon vorheriges Jahr (2017) war. Ich einen Eintrag mit Bildern davon eingefügt: Xi’An 2017. Dieser Beitragt ist zum Thema Auto fahren: Die Autobahnen in China sind super. Allerdings ist das Tempo of sehr begrenzt – siehe unten. Ich benutze Apple maps zum navigieren – funktioniert meist recht zuverlässig. Andere apps gibts leider nur auf Chinesisch (soweit ich weiß).
Today I continued to Tianshui. I didn’t stop in Xi’an, because I have been there in the previous year (2017). I have added a post with picture about Xi’an: Xi’An 2017. This post is about the car travel: The highways are very good in China. But the speed is often very limited – see below. I use Apple maps for navigation – usually works quite reliable. As far as I know all other navigation maps for China are in Chinese only.

80 ist gut für den Verbrauch (sonst 8.2). Tempomat war gerade aus Versehen auf 84…

Der Grund warum auf den Autobahnen so langsam gefahren werden muss (glaube ich): Massiv untermotorisierte LKW!
The reason why the speed limit is so low (I think): Severely under-powered trucks.
Solche Schilder gibts überall (aber meist auch mit Englisch – of auch für 100, 80): Links PKW, dann Bus, dann rechts zwei LKW Spuren (und die Standspur). Finde ich aber immer total unlogisch: Leider gibt es in Chine viele PKW die langsamer als die Höchstgeschwindigkeit fahren (z.B. hier 110 – warum!? Keine Ahnung. Vielleicht Sprit sparen? Vielleicht einfach unsichere/ unerfahrene Fahrer) – auf der linken Spur. Wenn ich die überhohlen will (rechts überhohlen ist OK – denke ich jedenfalls – machen alle), muss ich auf die 100er Spur … und dürfte den 110er dann ja theoretisch nicht mehr überhohlen. Aber in China sind solche Regeln eh nicht so wichtig (kaum einer hält sich dran – z.B. durchgezogene Linie wird oft ignoriert – auch weil diese oft Kilometer lang sind).
Such signs are commonplace (often also with English – also for 100, 80 km/h): Left: cars, then bus, then on the right two truck lanes and the emergency lane. I think that is totally illogic: Unfortunately there are many car drivers that drive slower than the max speed (e.g. here 110. Why? I don’t know. Save on fuel? Maybe insecure/ newbie drivers?) – on the left lane. If I wanted to overtake them (overtaking on the right is OK – I think – everybody is doing it) I’d have to go on the 100 km/h lane … but couldn’t overtake the 110 car anymore then. But it seems in China such rules are anyways made to be broken (people quite often ignore traffic rules here – e.g. the „non-overtaking line“ is often ignored – also because those can be extremely long).
