Ich heute bin nach Ürümqi gefahren, der Hauptstadt von Xinjiang (3,5 Millionen Einwohner). Die Fahrt hat lange gedauert – es wird eine neue Autobahn gebaut, deswegen gab es viele Baustellen. Am 2. Tag in Ürümqi bin ich zuerst in das Xinjiang Museum gegangen. Danach in den Hongshan Park und dann in den Volkspark. Am Abend war ich dann in einem (nachgebauten) traditionellen Markt und danach in einer Kultur-Show – war ganz OK.
I went to Ürümqi today – the capital of Xinjiang (3.5 million inhabitants). The trip took a long time – a highway is being build, so there was lots of construction. On the second day I first went into the Xinjiang Museum . Afterwards I visited the Hongshan park and the people’s park. In the evening I went to a (newly build) traditional market and then visited a dance and singing show – it was quite OK.
